It's the little things...

It may sound odd, but although our beds, sofa, dining room table, and decorations have all arrived, I didn't really feel at home until I bought this...

No, I am not referring to the dishes in the picture, but the dish drain. I have had a dish washer for a LONG time, but in Costa Rica we had to wash dishes by hand. I actually brought the silverware dish drain from Costa Rica and I had bought a different dish drain, but it just wasn't set up like the one I had had in Costa Rica, so when I saw this one, I bought it!!! And look, even the color matches!! God is in the little things!!! What little things make you feel at home???

Moving In

Here are some pics of our container and moving in.

Doug ministering to me by cleaning the week before moving in.

Fellow missionary Mark helping us to cut open the lock on our container

Hold on tight, cause it's packed tight!!

Doug during the process of unloading

Caleb has wanted his bike to ride ever since we got here. Unfortunately, Mommy didn't know how to rearrange the bike pedals that the packers had changed so that the bike would fit on the container. What a blessing, Mark stopped what he was doing to minister to my little man and help him get his bike in working order. What a great, "Uncle."

Just a few of the things that we get to enjoy now that they are unpacked.

Do we REALLY HAVE THAT MUCH STUFF????
Jenn (Mark's wife), and Nikki helping us to unload and check all the boxes off the list. Yup, it's all here!!!

The kids excited to play video games again!!

Here in Chile, when you rent a house you have to put in your own light fixtures and they move with you to each new house you rent. This is common with kitchen cabinets too!!! We still don't have a fixture for this light and we have a few others around the house that need fixtures too. In time, in time...

Our entryway and dining room not in disarray now.

Hanging Out

Well, we're still here. We are currently waiting for our container to be processed through port and customs and then we can arrange to have it delivered to our house here in Penalolen, Santiago. For now we are doing some homeschool, running smaller errands, and getting some things for the house. Doug is going stir crazy. He's ready to roll and begin everything ministry. For now, I'm enjoying a bit of down time to read and think about where we'll put things in the house. That's when my job really begins! It should be fun though!

For now please just pray for GOD'S timing and our container. We don't want to block off our dead-end gated street and upset the neighbors. We have already met a few of them and they are SO friendly and helpful. We already have our mission field right there! Glory to GOD!!!
